Estepona celebrates its annual carnival over the weekend of 18 and 19 February 2012.

Programme

Saturday 18 February

12 noon – El Calvario Park - Children's festival with entertainment, face painting, balloon modelling, etc. Election of the children's 'Ninfa and Momo'.
1 pm -  El Calvario Park - "La Bacala", organised by the 'Tipo Tipo' Carnival Association who will be cooking up the traditional ' Tortillitas de bacalao' (dried cod fritters) which they will be serving free, whilst you enjoy the programme of carnival music groups.

Foreigners Forum at the Palacio de Congresos

Estepona's Foreign Residents’ Association (AREME) in conjunction with the Foreign Residents’ Department are hosting a 'Forum' at which local law firm Perez Legal Group will be giving a presentation on the topic of Inheritance Tax.

Estepona's Councillor for Tourism and Foreign Residents, Marina Segovia, has announced that her department will be organising a series of talks aimed at providing foreign residents with information on important matters of interest to this section of the community.

Picasso's Posters

The Department of Culture presents an exhibition of 55 posters by Pablo Picasso produced by himself for his exhibitions.

The Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Estepona will host an exhibition of jewellery and designs by students from 12 schools that are part of the Parlement Européen Lycée (PLE), a body which comprises more than twenty institutions providing training in the elaboration of jewellery throughout the continent.
